NEW ATPA BOARD MEMBER

ATPA Board member Steven Wagner has stepped down from his position on the ATPA after accepting a promotion at AAA. Mr. Wagner served on the Board for nearly nine years. Thanks for your service and good luck in the new position.

The vacancy has been filled by Mr. Fausto Martin, Vice-President and Chief Claims Officer at AAA. MAVTI extends a warm welcome to Mr. Martin.

EVALUATION COMMITTEE

The ATPA has formed a Grant Evaluation Committee to develop new criteria for measuring the effectiveness of ATPA grants. This committee is chaired by Mr. William Heemer, State Farm Insurance and has the following committee members:

  • Captain Mark Newman - Oakland Co Sheriff
  • Chief Robert Dickerson - Wayne Co Sheriff 
  • Chief Kevin Belk - Grand Rapids
  • PD Cmdr Robert Ennis - Detroit PD
  • Major Barry Getzen - MSP
  • Captain AnneMarie Gibson - MSP
  • Ms. Vicki Neal  - NICB

NEW ACT BOARD

There have been recent changes to the Anti Car Theft (ACT) Board. The Board is now comprised of:

Chairperson D/F/Lt Ed Gerds, MSP Western Wayne
1st Vice-Chair Mr. Rod Hassinger. Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office
2nd Vice-Chair Ms. Lori Davis, Allstate Insurance
Secretary/Treasurer Ms. Mary Look, AAA Insurance

The ACT committee is a coalition of law enforcement, insurance representatives, and other individuals dedicated to fighting auto theft in the state of Michigan. It is the oldest such group in the state of Michigan.
