Obtaining MAVTI Training

There are four ways to obtain MAVTI training:

1. An agency may choose to host a training program for area agencies by contacting a MAVTI training coordinator and scheduling the date(s) and course(s) they wish to host.
2. An agency may request training for their agency alone by contacting a MAVTI training coordinator and scheduling training to meet the needs of the particular agency.
3. An agency may send individual officers to training programs scheduled at various locations around the state. Check our online training schedule for a current schedule of upcoming classes. Each officer attending a training session must pre-register for the class by completing the online registration form.
4. Individual officers can select a training session from the website Training Schedule and register by completing the online registration form.

Our instructors will make every attempt to tailor the training to meet the needs of your department, including providing training to afternoon and midnight shifts. And remember, this is a free service provided to all Michigan law enforcement officers and agencies.
